Total returns, which include reinvestment of capital gains and income, were calculated monthly and geometrically linked to get annual results. The returns for multiyear periods are presented on a compounded annualized basis. Gross of fee investment performance does not reflect the deduction of investment management fees, custodian fees or other expenses. Actual returns will be reduced by such fees. Net of fee investment performance reflects the deduction of (1) the highest advisory fee charged to any account employing that strategy during the performance period presented and (2) other operating expenses. Actual fees and expenses vary. Certain composites include mutual fund assets which pay operating expenses that other accounts would not bear.
