GE Asset Management's approach to asset allocation is a rigorous and repeatable process that has helped generate consistent, long-term performance for GE's Pension Plan. Our asset allocation process is a robust process that involves both strategic and tactical views and decisions. The Asset Allocation Committee is made up of two teams-the Strategic Asset Allocation Committee and the Tactical Asset Allocation Committee-which create a strategic investment approach with a tactical overlay. Our asset allocation analysis may incorporate:
    • Investment guidelines and objectives
    • Tolerance for risk
    • Investment time horizon
    • Liquidity needs
    • Actuarial requirements
    • Funded status

Effective investment strategies can be developed to manage volatility in uncertain and unstable environments.

GEAM utilizes state-of-the-art asset allocation tools, creating efficient portfolios that reflect a plan's specific risk/return profile.

GEAM can provide strategic and tactical asset allocation analysis as economic or market conditions change or in response to any changes in plan investment objectives. Our goal is to help rebalance a plan's portfolio so that the asset mix is consistent with underlying investment objectives and risk profiles.
